Yang Mi – Full Moon
(A poetry by Su Shi)

When there will be a full moon, with a cup of wine I ask the blue sky
What year is it in the heaven palace, this evening I wonder

I yearn to ride back with the wind but fear the beautiful pavilions
Lonely at the top, the shadow of dances
Whether it appears among the people

Circling the red gate, through the windows, shining upon the sleepless
Shouldn’t harbor hatred, why when people parting it shows a full moon
Since the very beginning
People have their sorrows, joys, farewells, and reunions
Even a moon has its darkness, brightness, wanes, and waxes
All these hard times happened since ancient time
If only we could live in longevity
It will still beautiful even in thousand miles apart.
